From the Hands (2010–2012)
Jewellery series, cast forms, silver, resin and mixed materials
From the Hands developed around the hand as gesture, trace and vehicle of exchange. Using casting, fragments of gloves, clothing and hand-related forms were transformed into wearable objects. Some pieces refer to giving and offering; others introduce devotional elements such as the rosary, opening a religious imagery that would later become more present in my work. Rather than forming a single narrative, the series gathers different ways in which the hand can carry meaning: through touch, donation, prayer and imprint.
